The exhibition is part of the cultural project MAN – MUSEUM OBJECT (May 1 – October 31), cultural project financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration. Text from the exhibition curator: The years 2014 marks 150 years since the birth of August von Spiess (August 6th 1864-1953), founder of the Museum of Hunting in Sibiu and Director of the Royal Hunting during King Ferdinand I of Romania. Through the cultural project MAN – MUSEUM OBJECT a philatelic exhibition commemorating this event will be opened for the general public at the Hunting Museum in Sibiu. At the opening, the Sibiu Philatelic Association will launch a commemorative envelope and stamp. Envelopes will be freely distributed to museum visitors.
