Text from the exhibition curator: Painter and graphic artist, Gavril Nechifor has an impressive number of exhibitions opened during his activity. He approaches all traditional genres in different ways of interpretation: portrait and still-life with a plus of figurative along landscape with surreal accents and constructivist touches. The common ground for the works on display in the present exhibition stays a concept of late romantic extraction, endowed with melancholic visions, disturbing dream-like insertions and contemplations, all related with a reality already transfigured by the view connected to different angles envisaging unexpected animist and spiritual vibrations
