Text from the exhibition curators: The photography appeared in the early nineteenth century out of a thousands year old human desire to communicate visually, to be able to freeze the time. Immortalizing the moment is today in everyone's reach, but not everyone consciously presses the shutter release in search of that perfect moment that will remain in the history of photography. In March 2015 we invite you to the Brukenthal Palace, to meet with a new generation of photographers from Romania, who exhibit their work in the second edition of the Image Art Fair. Even though the topic of works was one of free choice, the resulting exhibition is balanced in terms of composition and color, including 70 photographs by 52 authors. Out of more than 500 photos, the selection was made by Mr. Fred Nuss, emblematic figure of Sibiu photography, along with Mr. Daniel Bălțat, who created the foundations for the Image Art Photographic Art from Sibiu in 2008, thus having a vast experience in training young photographers everywhere. The main purpose of the present exhibition is to provide an incentive to those who now discover the secrets of photography and have proven that they master a special talent – to looking at the world through the lens of their camera. Precisely for this reason the photos exhibited are unique in their own way, adjoining a large diversity from landscape and portrait to the abstract images. The range of colors will warm us or will take us back in time by the use of a monochromatic approach.
