Text from the exhibition curator: Lidia Crainic has discovered artistic self-expression in many ways from tapestry to monumental fresco, painting, engraving, design, book illustration and mixt techniques. The artist was active in Sibiu in the ’60. A German resident since ‘90, she is returning to Sibiu where her first personal exhibition has been open in 1981, this time presenting a selection of engravings. Along time, Lidia Crainic opened exhibitions in Bucharest, Siegen, Görlitz, Burbach, Attendorn and Hamburg. Her works are part of several museum and private contemporary art collections from Romania, USA, Canada, Australia, Hungary, Germany, Austria and Greece.
