Brukenthal National Museum joins, for the third year consecutively, Earth HourTM campaign – considered to be the biggest voluntary action for the environment in the entire history, involving 2 billion people and scheduled this year for 29th of March.
Friday, 28th of March, at 11 a.m. o’clock, at Natural History Museum, an educational activity called Earth Hour 2014 – Light bulb eclipse! Turn off the lights! will take place. The action is coordinated by curator Ana-Maria Păpureanu and it will be joined by 29 students from Gymnasium School no. 2 from Sibiu. The main objective of this activity is to raise the impact of the campaign through the students. During the activity students will be encouraged to save natural resources, preventing in this way the environmental degradation, everything stating with the simple gesture like turning off the lights in their homes on Saturday, 29th of March, between 20:30 and 21:30 hours.
