The County Museum Olt will host a unique exhibition starting from May 15: "Masterpieces. Art from Romania, from classic to contemporary. Brukenthal National Museum Collection", curators: Dr. Alexandru Constantin Chituță and Iohana Brătoi.
A selection of paintings and sculptures by the most important and well-known Romanian artists were borrowed by the County Museum Olt from the Brukenthal National Museum.
Along with Nicolae Grigorescu, Ștefan Luchian, Miklós Barabás, Gheorghe Petrașcu, Nicolae Tonitza, visitors will have the opportunity to admire paintings and sculptures from the collection of the Museum from Sibiu.
The exhibition brings masterpieces of Romanian art to Slatina for the first time. The theme of the exhibition presents the history of art in Romania starting with Nicolae Grigorescu and ending with contemporary art, thus becoming one of the most important exhibitions of Romanian art and sculpture ever organized in Slatina and in the area.
