The collection of clichés on glass of the Brukenthal National Museum, Museum of History - Altemberger House is one of the largest and most complex collections of this kind kept in a museum in Romania, covering most of the subjects specific to photography from the interwar period.
The images of Cisnădie, 59 pieces, taken in the photographic studio of the Fischer brothers (Emil and Josef), the most prolific photographic studio in Sibiu, with an uninterrupted activity of about 100 years (1897 - the year Emil Fischer opened his first studio and 1985 - the year Josef Fischer sold his collection of clichés on glass to the Brukenthal Museum).
The volume contains images of works from the museum's collection, some of them were exhibited within the exhibition Greetings from Cisnădie. The exhibition was held from 2022 to 2023 at the Cisnădie House of Culture.
