The collections of photographs and glass-plate negatives held by the Brukenthal National Museum, Museum of History Altemberger House are the most complex collections of this kind held in a museum from Romania. The images of Brașov show us today a city of contrasts, a city of places and landscapes that we can still see or recognise only in photographs captured through the lens of cameras.
In the exhibition Brasov in images from the collections of the Brukenthal National Museum, are exhibited less-known images, such as: general views, the Council Square and the Council House, churches, city gates, the fortification system - defence towers and bastions - districts, buildings in the city, the Millennium Monument and the Bethlen Restaurant.
The exhibition is organized in Brașov, in collaboration with the Mureșeni House Museum Brașov and can be seen until 29 February, 2024
