Brukenthal National Museum is joining the Google Cultural Institute project that aims at presenting online the historical and cultural heritage from more than 60 countries.
At the present, Brukenthal Museum is the only one in Romania that can be visited online using the Street View technology – interior and exterior tours for Brukenthal Palace, Museum of History and Museum of Natural History. The 65 pieces indexed by Google Cultural Institute are exponential for the Museum’s collections of European and Romanian painting but also items from the collections sheltered by the Museum of History. 24 images were captured in high resolution allowing the detailed observation.
