According to the registers of the National Archives of Romania – Sibiu District, this poem was composed when Samuel von Brukenthal was appointed Governor of the Principality of Transylvania. The poem is written as a dialogue between the gods Mercury and Apollo and it praises Transylvania as a place of friendship, arts and science, living its golden age. Also, the unknown author wishes the generous and wise baron to long live as a great and happy man.
