The last in the series of projects dedicated to the evolution of gastronomy (medieval, baroque and contemporary periods), "Food will win war", co-financed by the Romanian National Cultural Fund Administration, captures several aspects related to food in times of crisis, the close connection between war rations and modern thinking for nutrition, the continuation of the struggle for saving food (from wartime shortages to current protection of the environment).
Coordinated in the conditions of preventing the spread of the pandemic that applied in 2020, among the activities we propose are open-air and online exhibitions, a catalog with recipes mainly from the Second World War, a digitization section of items from Brukenthal National Museum’s collection and educational materials for children.
