In 2018, Brukenthal National Museum celebrates the tenth anniversary of the inauguration of Romanian Art Gallery.
The present exhibition has a documentary character and presents the most important aspects in the existence of the gallery, from the creation of the Romanian painting collection, to the research on this heritage, the elaboration of the exhibition concept, the building rehabilitation and the spatial arrangement (which took place through a large a project under the program "Rehabilitation of Historic Monuments in Romania" coordinated by the Ministry of Culture in 2008, bringing the exhibition and storage rooms to the appropriate standards), "behind the scenes" aspects, the preservation and restoration of the patrimony until the opening of the gallery, temporary exhibitions, activities with the public, publications and other.
