Brukenthal Museum is preparing to celebrate the 2017 Bicentennial. But the story of the beginnings of the museum is older than two centuries. Each stage in the destiny of founder Samuel von Brukenthal (personal life, education and career) is a step towards the establishment of the first museum in Romania.
This story is narrated through 15 posters on display in the inner courtyard of the Palace Brukenthal. The graphic support is based on details from the composition of the Cabinet of Curiosities by Johann Georg Hinz (a painting illustrative for the fascination with collecting in the Enlightenment) along images from atlases, books, portraits and objects from the museum's collections
