Text from the coordinator:

The Brukenthal National Museum, in collaboration with the Faculty of Letters and Arts - Roman Studies Department, Transylvania Magazine and Astra Museum in Sibiu, invites the general public and poetry lovers to participate in a round table organized on the occasion of the commemorative event of the birth of the great national poet Mihai Eminescu.
The topic of the debate “Eminescu and the Romanian poetry today” will be discussed in the presence of the academic staff. This complex theme will be approached from the point of view of the literary theorist, Dragos Varga, but also from the point of view of the well-known poet and literary critic Radu Vancu.
The second part of the event will include a bibliophilic book presentation, as well as a recital of Eminescu's poetry. Among the books to be presented, Rodica Sinca will also talk about a precious volume of the Brukenthal Library, the second edition of the poetry volume that appeared during the life of the poet, in 1885.
