Through the richness and diversity of the items presented here, it illustrates the complexity and evolution of the processes of medicine making, in strong connection with the evolution of pharmaceutical science.
The pharmaceutical scale dating from the 18th century, presenting iron weights and ornaments in stone, is one of the oldest objects of the collection.
Out of the objects exhibited on the receipt desk, worth to be mentioned is the pill-making machine dated in the 18th century – a device used for preparing the pills (considered to be the first pharmaceutical means in the treatment of different illnesses.
Among other exhibits in the laboratory there are different types of scales, bronze, cast iron and marble grinding mortars, crashing and spraying machines, elements of pill and suppository making devices, percolators for tincture extracting out of medical plants, ceramic and metal receptacles, melting pots, measuring tin cups, sieves, filters and laboratory glassware.
