Opened in 2007 as well, as in the case of prints cabinet, the cartography cabinet is a permanent exhibition space in which only temporary exhibitions are to be sheltered, four or five being opened during one year.
Presenting selections out of the Cartography Collection of the Brukenthal Library, comprising 7.233 items, the exhibitions approach a diversity of subjects as the history of cartography, the geographical discoveries, the political description of the world in the past centuries, Romania: past and present.
