Since the first dinosaur fossils were recognized in the early 19th century, fossil dinosaur skeletons have been major attractions at museums around the world, and dinosaurs replicas have become an enduring part of world culture.

Public enthusiasm for dinosaurs first developed in Victorian England, where in 1854, three decades after the first scientific descriptions of dinosaur remains, the famous dinosaur sculptures were unveiled in London's Crystal Palace Park.
Brukenthal National Museum’s dinosaurs-project aims at launching a special attraction in Museum of Natural History’s garden, an open-air permanent exhibition meant to be both educational and recreational. The six exhibits presenting specimens of Hypsilophodon foxii, Tyranosaurus rex, Tryceratops, Diplodocus longus, Velociraptor and Pterosaurus are ranging in size from 1to 8 metres in height.
