Between the 12th and 15th of August, Brukenthal National Museum is opening the Mineralia market in the Multimedia Hall of the Casa Albastră building, Piaţa Mare, No. 5.
Opening hours: 10 am – 6 pm
Ticket price: 1 leu
The exhibition was put together by Romanian specialists in the field of minerals, offering a wide range of exhibits as minerals, ornamental rocks, jewelries, crystals and gems that could be purchased and admired.

On August 1, from current year, was held the official opening of the Transylvania Heritage Summer University, Daia-Thalheim, organized by the Documentation Centre for Flemish Art Heritage in Brussels in collaboration with CINOA, supported by the Dinu Patriciu Foundation, Sotheby's London and L'Evantail magazine.
The European Art Galleries of Brukenthal National Museum hosts three of the Summer University courses, among participants being George Gordon Senior – Head of the Sotheby's Old Master Department, Dr. Claus Grimm – former director of Bayerische Staatsgemaldesammlungen Munich, Dr. Garry Schwartz – art historian (Netherlands) and Dr. Jan De Maere - Director of Transylvania Heritage Summer University (www.transylvanian-heritage-univ.org)

The only Romanian museum included in the “Great Museum of the World” series launched by Adevărul Holding on April 19 2010, Brukenthal National Museum concludes the presentations including museums as Hermitage, Louvre, Prado, Uffizi Gallery, with the 15th volume to be issued on July 26.
