As Sibiu, Braşov, Budapest, Munich and Rome were the cultural centres were Arthur Coulin lived, studied and worked, the present exhibition ARTHUR COULIN (1869-1912) was an endeavour having as partners the Art Museum in Braşov and the Transylvanian Museum of Gundelsheim, Germany; the Evangelical Church CA Braşov, the Eastern Orthodox Metropolitan See of Ardeal, Evangelical Church CA Sighişoara, private collectors in Romania and Germany also participated in.
Arthur Coulin’s modernity resides in his attempts of stylistic renewal and fresh approach towards the early 20th century mentalities, having as porpoise the increase of public interest in art.
Works appertaining to all his periods of creation are to be found on display, some of them exhibited for the first time along fragments of his writings on art and society and documents as letters, family photos etc.
